offer classic, out of print dermatology textbooks in a media enriched
online environment. Valuable Dermatology resources that are currently
unavailable would be easily accessible by any resident or practicing
dermatologist for search, study and reference.

derm.md's eDerm Books project concept was developed in response to
the reality that many classic and essential dermatology sources are
currently unavailable, for they are no longer in print. This lack
of availability means that current resident dermatologists are not
able to 'build upon the wisdom of the past'. The internet, along with
the advent of ebooks, has provided the dermatological community with
the opportunity to preserve and eternalize these classics. But to
this day, this opportunity has gone largely unused.

A project such as eDerm Books cannot be developed by a single organization.
