Academic Dermatologists and Dermatologic Surgeons serve as authors and editors by electronically contributing and editing concise summary documents for widely practiced surgical procedures. It provides a clinical knowledge base and is freely available to health professionals.

Having the information one needs when it is needed is the dream of every Dermatologic Surgeon. Now, thanks to ASDS and derm.md, it can be a reality. The software is powered by an open-source industry standard for mobile software solutions that provides dynamically updated content delivered directly to handheld computers. The content can be delivered either by traditional “hotsync technology” or by wireless connection. The submitted information is peer-reviewed prior to publication and dynamically updated in a manner that is transparent to the end-user.
